Jannis Vann was the first featured home designer in Better Homes and Gardens "Home Plan Ideas". She has won excellence awards in the American Institute of Building Design's annual national design competition as well as first place and excellence awards at the regional level. In 1997 she was awarded the association's coveted "Designer of the Year" award and in 1996 she was the first woman in 20 years to be elected to the AIBD's highest honor, the College of Fellows . She currently is the only active female to hold this honor. Jannis has also had her home designs featured in several home builder's association "Parade of Homes". Georgia , North Carolina , Tennessee and Texas are just a few of the states.
